Agricultural damage assessment

Reviewed at · Statuses reflect this review and may change.
1. What this capability does
Prepare documented damage assessments by combining field findings, affected crop information and applicable assessment rules.
2. Why it is needed
A production deviation or climate anomaly alone does not establish the losses suffered by a particular farm.
3. Which decisions it can support
Identify the evidence needed to examine an event and assess whether the records support calculating losses.
4. Which data are available
BNS damaged-area statistics and official assessment documents are available, without integrated records for individual cases.
5. Which data are still needed
Signed acts, affected areas, crop identity, field observations, documented reference yields and prices are required.
6. Who can provide the data
Competent commissions, farmers, local authorities, MAIA and BNS can provide the necessary documents and supporting data.
7. Methods and scientific limitations
Assessment follows crop-specific rules in MAIA/MM Order 43/64, keeping assumptions separate from the official determination of damage.
8. Which outputs it can produce
Planned reproducible case reports will document sources, applicable formulas, intermediate results and gaps preventing assessment.
9. Readiness and conditions of use
The module is in development; it does not issue commission acts or determine entitlement to compensation.
Sources and access conditions
Links identify the sources. Source accessibility does not prove integration; official observations, estimates and forecasts must remain distinct. Source titles and metadata are shown as documented.
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
all agricultural enterprises and farms >=10ha all agricultural enterprises and farms >=10ha all agricultural enterprises and farms >=10ha Partial-year, not completed annual yield; no mixing of farm thresholds Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
National submitted damage acts for maize and sunflower; observation reference in the audited snapshot: 2025-10-23.
Availability
ACCESSIBLE_NOT_CONNECTED — source discovery only; not a connection to this public service.
Limitations
Selected compensated crops/eligible applicants differ from total economic loss. Administrative verified acts do not isolate drought from all confounders. Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
35 BNS territories plus national aggregate; 36 crop reporting series; observation reference in the audited snapshot: 2025.
Availability
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
Bender and left-bank unit have no mapped BNS series Dash is not numeric zero Survey population/threshold and historical scope must remain attached Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
Republic of Moldova; field assessment, commission documentation and crop-specific damage calculation requirements.
Availability
ACCESSIBLE_NOT_CONNECTED — official 14-page PDF inspected on 13 October 2026; an assessment reference, not an implemented calculation or a connection to case records.
Limitations
The document does not supply individual damage records, authorize TerraScore to issue official acts or replace evidence required for each case.
Download the public catalogue with dated statuses, descriptions and sources. The SHA-256 digest identifies the exact file displayed; it does not scientifically validate the data.
