District profiles for risk analysis

Reviewed at · Statuses reflect this review and may change.
1. What this capability does
Bring together district agricultural and climate context with available factors, data gaps and evidence needed for assessment.
2. Why it is needed
An explainable territorial profile shows usable information and the limitations that must accompany comparisons between districts.
3. Which decisions it can support
Prioritize data collection and local investigation before classifying risks or selecting appropriate adaptation measures.
4. Which data are available
Existing territorial profiles provide statistical, climate and soil context without a validated agricultural risk classification.
5. Which data are still needed
Crop-specific exposure, local vulnerability factors, accepted rules and verification of territorial comparability are required.
6. Who can provide the data
BNS, AMM, local authorities and agricultural institutions can provide data and validation under agreed arrangements.
7. Methods and scientific limitations
Each profile retains indicator scale and separates observed facts, modelled estimates and assessments that remain unvalidated.
8. Which outputs it can produce
Planned profiles will show factors, coverage, uncertainty, supporting documents and questions requiring local verification.
9. Readiness and conditions of use
The risk-analysis extension is in development; existing profiles do not certify risk levels or amounts of damage.
Sources and access conditions
Links identify the sources. Source accessibility does not prove integration; official observations, estimates and forecasts must remain distinct. Source titles and metadata are shown as documented.
35 BNS territories plus national aggregate; 36 crop reporting series; observation reference in the audited snapshot: 2025.
Availability
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
Bender and left-bank unit have no mapped BNS series Dash is not numeric zero Survey population/threshold and historical scope must remain attached Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
All 37 ADM1 plus national, area-weighted historical boundary support; observation reference in the audited snapshot: 2026-09-30.
Availability
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
No crop mask or field representativeness 2026 historical anomalies withheld: source temporal homogeneity unconfirmed ET0 is reference demand, not irrigation availability Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
Spatial mean of model predictions, not laboratory measurements or locally validated crop suitability. Pixel quantiles are not a territorial confidence interval; none is asserted. Arithmetic mean of pH describes mapped pH, not a chemical mixing calculation. No local nutrients, salinity, compaction or lab tests Chișinău, Bălți and Bender withheld below valid-area threshold Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
Catalogue does not verify current cadastral rights or parcel boundaries Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
