1. What this capability does
Prepare separate flood and fire assessments using dated events, exposed assets and relevant physical conditions.
2. Why it is needed
River level or extreme rainfall alone does not establish whether a field floods or a fire occurs.
3. Which decisions it can support
Prioritize investigation of land, infrastructure and protective measures using maps and event evidence admitted separately.
4. Which data are available
Public hydrological facts and IGSU reports are available, while GloFAS and terrain products are inventoried.
5. Which data are still needed
Verified event extents, terrain, infrastructure, combustible vegetation and compatible historical records are needed for each hazard.
6. Who can provide the data
AMM, IGSU, forestry authorities and infrastructure operators can complement Copernicus products with local evidence.
7. Methods and scientific limitations
Floods and fires use distinct methods that examine event extent, recurrence, exposure and each product's limitations.
8. Which outputs it can produce
Separate event and exposure profiles are planned without a combined score or an independent operational warning service.
9. Readiness and conditions of use
The module is in development; local flood and fire models are not yet connected or validated.
Sources and access conditions
Links identify the sources. Source accessibility does not prove integration; official observations, estimates and forecasts must remain distinct. Source titles and metadata are shown as documented.
Nistru and Prut station/sector context; no territorial generalization; observation reference in the audited snapshot: 2026-10-12 (independent public readback on 13 October 2026; levels at 9 stations, discharge at 3).
Availability
CONNECTED — admitted existing baseline evidence; this does not connect the source to every planned capability.
Limitations
Station identifiers/coordinates/datum incomplete Planned releases and warnings are separate forecast types No water entitlement, field availability or pumping recommendation Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
Official national emergency reporting with event/locality and some territorial breakdowns; observation reference in the audited snapshot: 2026-H1.
Availability
ACCESSIBLE_NOT_CONNECTED — source discovery only; not a connection to this public service.
Limitations
Disaster classification, damage valuation and reporting thresholds change coverage. Emergency-response statistics are not exhaustive agricultural yield loss. Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
Global grid including Moldova; all ADM1 summaries require boundary overlay and a completeness test.
Availability
REQUIRES_PERMISSION — source discovery only; not a connection to this public service.
Limitations
LISFLOOD model driven by ERA5, not river-gauge observation. Reservoir operation, abstractions and small tributaries need local validation. Catalogue bbox differs from descriptive global extent; Moldova lies within both.
Limitations
DSM is not bare-earth terrain; derive slope carefully and validate vertical datum. Static elevation cannot establish current infrastructure or legal boundaries. Latest catalogue dates are not measurement dates; verify the source terms and observation coverage before reuse.
Download the public catalogue with dated statuses, descriptions and sources. The SHA-256 digest identifies the exact file displayed; it does not scientifically validate the data.
